2 adults, girl killed in a wrong-way crash on Grand Parkway, only a 3-year-old survived, FBCSO says

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A tragic crash involving a wrong-way driver on the Grand Parkway took the lives of three out of four family members, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators say it happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday on the Grand Parkway near the intersection of FM 1464.

Officials said their preliminary investigation suggests that the family of four from Harris County was traveling north when their vehicle was struck by a driver going southbound in the northbound lanes.

A woman and a girl were pronounced deceased at the scene, while a man and a 3-year-old child were airlifted to the hospital, FBCSO said. They added that the man later died from his injuries, while the child is currently hospitalized, but stable.

FBCSO said the wrong-way driver was also injured and airlifted to the hospital, though they did not disclose his condition.

Officials said the crash remains under investigation and charges against the wrong-way driver are pending.
