2 men shot in botched drug deal that ended with car crash into North Harris County home, HCSO says


HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Two men were shot during a botched drug deal that ended when their vehicle crashed into a home with a young family inside, the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said.

Pct. 4 investigators said the two men drove to a neighborhood park on Champions Way Lane for a planned drug deal. They met up with two men, who were on foot, and reportedly attempted to rob them.

While attempting to escape, Captain Buddy Gheen said the passenger was shot in the leg and the driver was shot in the head. The driver lost control of his car and crashed into a nearby house.

The family that owns the home told ABC13 two parents were inside with their 3-year-old and 3-month-old children. They were unharmed.

Precinct 4 has not released a description of the suspects.

The two shooting victims were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
