HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Two people died after being ejected from their vehicle in a fiery hit-and-run crash on Broadway Street in southeast Houston, the Houston Police Department said.
Officers said they responded to a major crash at around 1:30 a.m. at the 8200 block of Broadway Street on Sunday.
HPD said a black Infiniti SUV and a white Infiniti SUV, both traveling northbound at high speed, lost control and collided.
The black Infiniti hit a bus stop and a tree before catching fire, officials said. They added that both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
HPD said the occupants of the white Infiniti fled the scene, and an investigation is underway.
