HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Three teenagers were arrested Tuesday afternoon after the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said they robbed and shot at a 17-year-old boy.
Deputies said the victim was walking in the 5500 block of Creekside Ridge in the Katy area just before 2 p.m. when the suspects pulled up in a car and demanded money.
Court documents say the suspects got out of the car with guns and that a 16-year-old known as “Day Day” began shooting at the victim as he ran away.
None of the bullets struck the victim, but investigators say he fell to the ground, and the suspects began rummaging through his pockets.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Tyron Butler pointed a gun at the victim and said, “If you don’t give me everything, I’m gonna shoot you.”
Investigators say 19-year-old Andrew Gomez retrieved at least $600 from the victim’s pockets and that all three suspects then fled to nearby Clover Blossom Lane, where they were arrested about half an hour later.
All three suspects are now charged with aggravated robbery, according to HCSO.
