Man accused of stabbing woman he met on dating app, Pct. 1 says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 26-year-old man faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge after authorities said he stabbed a woman he met on a dating app.

G’Andre Clark currently sits in the Harris County Jail.

Court records show on Wednesday a woman met Clark at the northwest Houston apartment where he lives. The two had met on a dating app, but investigators were not able to say exactly what the app was. The woman told investigators minutes after meeting up for the first time, Clark asked for sex, and when she said no, he allegedly stabbed the woman in the stomach, before running back to his apartment.

The woman immediately called 911.

Court records show investigators arrived on the scene and found the suspect in his apartment, and the woman was able to positively identify Clark.

On Thursday, ABC13 knocked on the apartment door. Nobody was home, but a woman identifying herself as Clark’s mother spoke via the doorbell camera.

“I don’t know anything about that situation,” the woman said. “I have not talked to my son about what’s going on or if he stabbed someone. None of that.”

Authorities said Clark is on parole for attacking a pregnant woman and setting a couch on fire back in 2021.

He has also had previous interaction with law enforcement for mental health issues.
