Teen dies after gunshot wound to the chest at SW Houston gas station on North Braeswood, police say


HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Multiple people are in custody after a teenager was fatally shot outside a southwest Houston gas station on Friday evening, according to Houston police.

Officers responded to the shooting at the 5400 block of North Braeswood at a Circle K just after 8 p.m.

The Houston Police Department said a group of teenagers arrived at the gas station, intending to meet another group of people for unknown reasons.

At one point, HPD said a fight broke out, and then gunfire rang out in the area, leading to the teen being shot in the chest.

Police said the victim was drvien to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after he arrived.

The victim was between 15 and 17 years old, according to officials.

The investigation is still underway.
