BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Three people are dead after a small aircraft crash in Bath Township Thursday evening, police confirmed.
According to Bath Township Police, the small plane crashed near the intersection of Clark Road and Peacock Road around 5 p.m.
Police say all three passengers were found dead. Officials stated they’re still unsure what caused the crash, or where the plane was headed.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating.
Bath Township police and fire, alongside Laingsburg and DeWitt agencies responded.
Police were set to give a press conference on the crash around 8 p.m. However, first responders at the scene told News 10 the conference was cancelled by the FAA.
According to a statement from the Bath Charter Township, the cause of the crash and the intended destination are still unknown at this time.
