Disney Halloween movies: Scary films, special episodes and more fun for Spooky Season

LOS ANGELES — Halloween season is here and there are all sorts of spooktacular new shows and movies to get you in the “spirit.”

In a new episode of On The Red Carpet, we’re celebrating scary good series like “Alien: Earth” and “Marvel Zombies,” along with new movies like “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle” and “The Man in My Basement.”

We also look ahead to some special Halloween episodes of favorite ABC shows like “Abbott Elementary” and “Shifting Gears.”

“Anytime we have the ability to, we will celebrate the holidays,” said “Abbott Elementary” star Quinta Brunson. “It’s one of the best parts of being on network television. But it will be an unconventional episode of Halloween. We’ll be outside of the school, so it will be exciting.”

As for the “Shifting Gears” Halloween episode, star Tim Allen told us it will involve some romance between his character and Jenna Elfman’s.

“It potentially could be very frightening,” he said.

Elfman added, “Shifting Gears cannot have a normal Halloween episode.”

The Halloween episode of On The Red Carpet also includes some favorites for younger viewers, like “Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Songs: Halloween,” which are new singalong stop-motion videos and Disney Channel’s “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire,” a new live-action series that follows “Vee” as she navigates life at a performing arts school.

“I’ve loved playing Vee with singing and dance and acting, which are all things that both me and Vee love so much and we’re so passionate about,” said Kenzi Richardson, the show’s young star.

You’ll also see what makes this time of year so much fun at Disney parks from coast to coast!
