FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office found what is believed to be a vehicle of interest in connection to a suspected road rage shooting that left an army veteran dead.
Authorities said that the homicide happened at 11:51 a.m. in the 10500 block of State Highway 6 South on June 21.
Deputies say that the driver of a white Toyota Camry had left the roadway and crashed into a ditch along the southbound lanes of State Highway 6 South. Upon arrival, deputies found the driver, who was an army veteran, identified as 43-year-old Roy Ferrer, dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
According to law enforcement, surveillance video helped them identify a gray 2013 – 2019 Nissan Sentra with dark-tinted windows as a vehicle of interest.

“This case is a top priority for our agency,” Sheriff Eric Fagan said. “Our investigators are working tirelessly to piece together every detail of this case and pursue those responsible for this senseless act. We are asking the public to assist us by sharing any information that may help identify the vehicle or individuals involved. Your cooperation could make a critical difference.”
An investigation is still ongoing.
