Heights woman found drunk, holding three-month old baby on sidewalk in 40-degree weather, records say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A Heights mother ended the Thanksgiving holiday behind bars after police say they found her passed out drunk on a sidewalk holding her three-month-old son.

Court records said 36-year-old Danielle Jensen had taken the child out in a stroller Thursday night “without adequate clothing” for the 47-degree weather.

Police say she fell asleep on the ground at the corner of Durham and West 22nd Street, which is about half a mile from her home.

In court, Jensen was described as “extremely intoxicated.”

Officials said the child was injured, but did not specifically say how. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out and then placed in CPS custody.

The 36-year-old woman was arrested and booked. She was subsequently charged with endangering a child and was later released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

ABC13 tried to contact Jensen; however, there was no response.
