NEW YORK CITY — The power of media, and the difference it can help in bringing about change, was on full display Thursday night.
Sam Champion was on stage helping host the Ad Council’s Public Service Award Dinner on the West Side.
“The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg was also there to support the organization, and so was Rita Ferro, President of Global Advertising for Disney, one of the co-chairs of Thursday night’s dinner, which honored NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
“Deja Vu,” from “Live with Kelly and Mark,” along with ESPN and ABC sports analyst Jesse Palmer, helped out as well, recognizing the Ad Council, which is a non-profit organization that dates back to the 1942.
The council brings storytellers together to help educate and unite people with campaigns.
You may know one of them like “Smokey Bear,” and “Don’t Be a Dummy, and Buckle Up.”
