HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — METRO officials say a bus was involved in a deadly crash that happened during a routine road test on Friday morning.
According to METRO, the crash happened near the Burnett Operations Facility around 4 a.m. as the bus was being operated by a Hiram Clarke mechanic.
METRO says a pedestrian walked on the road, and the operator was unable to stop in time.
The pedestrian was reportedly taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died.
Authorities said traffic on Holmes Road would be re-routed during the investigation.
