BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) — A Baytown high school student has died after being stabbed on campus on Wednesday morning, Goose Creek CISD confirmed.
The Baytown Police Department said it was called to a stabbing at Sterling High School at about 10:40 a.m.
The school district said a fight between two students led to a school lockdown, adding that a student suffered a stab wound and was taken to the Texas Medical Center.
The student later passed away, according to Goose Creek CISD.
The other student is currently in police custody, the district added, and there is currently no known threat to the school related to this situation.
