GLAAD has announced its 37th Annual Media Award nominees, with The Walt Disney Company scoring the most nominations of any network, outlet or platform.
This year, Disney was nominated 30 times across ABC, Disney+, Disney Channel, Disney Jr., Freeform, Hulu and National Geographic, with fan favorites like “Abbott Elementary,” “Dancing with the Stars” and more earning recognitions.
GLAAD is the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, with a mission to “accelerate acceptance and understanding for LGBTQ people through visibility in media.” The organization’s Media Awards works to honor “outstanding fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues in film, television, gaming, music, podcasting, journalism, Spanish-Language media, and more.”
