Cypress: Fight between 2 teen groups ends with 16-year-old being shot, Life-Flighted to hospital, HCSO says

CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) — A 16-year-old boy was shot in Cypress on Saturday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The agency said that deputies responded to a call about someone in danger at 18200 Westgate Park Drive at around 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 10.

When they arrived at the scene, deputies found a 16-year-old boy shot, according to authorities. He was then life-flighted to Memorial Hermann Downtown for his injuries, HCSO said.

HCSO initially stated that the boy was in critical condition.

Investigators said that they don’t have information on his current condition or any other details, but they did confirm that the shooting happened after two groups of teenagers started a fight with each other.
