HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An Aramark employee was charged with attempted sexual assault after a child reported the man followed him into a stall at NRG Stadium, court documents show.
According to the court documents, an 8-year-old boy went into the men’s restroom at NRG during a Texans game on Dec. 14 while his mother waited outside. Surveillance video showed that after the boy entered the restroom, an Aramark employee, Ushay Nixon, went in after.
The court documents show the child later told police that Nixon went into a stall with him, had the boy take off his shirt, then Nixon removed the boy’s pants and underwear. The child told officers he followed these instructions because they were coming from an employee, the documents stated. The child said that Nixon then told the boy to turn around, and Nixon began to undo his own pants, according to the documents.
The boy, no longer trusting Nixon, pushed the employee out of the way and exited the stall, according to court documents.
The boy’s mom told investigators an unknown man later approached her after the boy left the bathroom and said there was an employee “helping” her son, and it “just didn’t look right,” according to the documents. The boy then told his mom what happened, the documents stated.
The court documents show that Nixon spoke with investigators, telling them that he did encounter the boy in the restroom and had asked the boy if he wanted to see Nixon’s Pokémon card collection on his phone. Nixon told officials that the boy got scared and ran away, the documents show. Nixon said the 8-year-old thought Nixon was going to “touch him” and that “he knew he was in trouble,” according to court documents.
ABC13 reached out to Aramark, which released the following statement:
“We are aware of this very disturbing situation. The person in question is no longer employed with our organization, and we are fully cooperating with the authorities on their investigation.”
According to court documents, Nixon is charged with attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 14. He is currently in custodyon a $200,000 bond, documents show.
