HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Deputies say a man is expected to survive after being shot and showing up to work for help in northwest Harris County on Friday morning.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the 22700 block of Northwest Lake Drive at about 7:25 a.m. When they arrived, they said they learned that a 22-year-old man had been shot in his shoulder and then through his neck.
Initially, officials said the man was 25 years old.
Sgt. Freder Muñoz with HCSO said the man’s car had two bullet holes.
“Once he arrived on location, he entered the premises of his employment where he asked for help,” Muñoz said. “A co-worker of his rendered aid, and once EMS arrived on scene, this individual was Life Flighted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He’s currently undergoing surgery.”
That sergeant said no suspect has been identified, and that they’re still working to learn where the shooting actually took place.
Muñoz said it’s possible this was a road rage incident, but an investigation is ongoing.
