Charges dismissed against man accused of assaulting 11-year-old girl in Greenspoint-area bus stop in 2022, docs show


HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A judge has dismissed charges against the man accused of kidnapping and assaulting an 11-year-old girl in 2022, according to court documents.

Court records show that Donald Farley was charged with aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child in 2022.

Records show that the Harris County District Attorney’s Office asked the court to dismiss the charges in the case, saying in court documents that “they cannot prove it beyond a reasonable doubt” on July 2, 2025.

The incident happened on Feb. 15, 2022, in the Greenspoint area near Northborough and Ruschcreek. The 11-year-old girl told authorities she was walking to her bus stop from her home when Farley grabbed her by force and took her to some nearby apartments, records state. Houston police say the young girl told investigators that Farley threw her on the ground, held a knife to her neck, and sexually assaulted her. She was able to get away, according to court documents.
