HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A deadly crash is under investigation along Grand Parkway in north Harris County on Saturday morning.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said a single vehicle hit a guardrail along SH-99 near Kuykendahl before catching on fire.
Gonzalez said a good Samaritan was able to pull the driver out of the burning vehicle, but a passenger died at the scene. The driver was reportedly flown to the hospital and is critical.
The sheriff said SH-99 westbound is currently shut down as the investigation into the crash continues.
