HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A manhunt is underway for a murder suspect accused of shooting a man to death during an argument in southwest Houston, according to authorities.
Demeche Williams, 35, was charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of 25-year-old Steven Williams, police said.
According to Houston police, the shooting happened on Monday, Sept. 1, at about 11:50 a.m. at 11900 Oakmoor Parkway. At the scene, officers said they found the victim unresponsive with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Witnesses told police that the victim and the suspect got into an argument that escalated to shots being fired by the suspect.
