HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Emergency crews are responding to the Valero Houston Refinery after a gas line was reportedly damaged Tuesday afternoon, according to an alert from the Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER).
The alert read that the incident happened at about 1:15 p.m. on the Valero property in east Harris County.
Valero’s emergency response team and the Houston Fire Department are on the scene, the alert read online.
“Our primary concern is for safety of our workers and the surrounding community,” the statement read.
Additional information, such as whether anyone was injured or how the line was damaged, was not immediately released.
