HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Deputies say a 25-year-old man is behind bars for allegedly burglarizing several homes in the Heights area.
According to Harris County Constable Precinct 1, Jose Daniel Espinosa Espinosa was charged with burglary on Thursday and is now in jail.
“He specializes in hitting people in their home, the place where they are supposed to feel most safe,” Pct. 1 said in a social media post, sharing images of the suspect.
Charging documents allege that on May 17, Espinosa burglarized a home on the 1500 block of Tulane and took a computer, laptop, and other items, and attempted to pawn them.
Records show he was charged in June and was tied to another burglary nearby. In that case, the victim told ABC13 he lost a laptop.
The third and most recent case occurred on Aug. 7, in the 900 block of Lehman. Surveillance video shared with ABC13 shows Espinosa allegedly going into a townhome garage and riding off with a high-end bicycle.
Authorities said they are still investigating and ask you to contact Det. Bowden at [email protected] if you have additional information that may help.
Espinosa has a large dark skull tattoo on his forearm and drives an orange Dodge Charger, officials described.
