HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — At least one person died after a vehicle hit a highway barricade in northwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said they responded to the crash around 1:30 a.m. Sunday along Highway 290 near 43rd Street.
The Houston Fire Department confirmed that at least one person died in the vehicle.
Sgt. Dallas from HPD said the driver did not stay in their lane and crashed into the barricade between the service road and the entrance ramp.
Dallas also said the vehicle was completely burned, and the victim had not yet been identified.
It was not immediately clear if anyone else was in the vehicle.
