HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A Houston man is accused of killing another man with a TV and wheeling his dead body in a wheelchair out to a bus stop.
The Houston Police Department said they arrested Carl Taylor, 44, in connection with the alleged crime at an apartment complex near 600 East Tidwell on the morning of Nov. 25.
Houston Metro Police Department officers found the victim’s body at a nearby bus stop, according to HPD. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
HPD officers said they found evidence of the killing in Taylor’s apartment.
Court documents allege that Taylor hit the unidentified victim with a TV, causing his death.
The documents also state that video surveillance footage captured Taylor wheeling the victim’s body out to a bus stop near his home and leaving it there.
Taylor is now at the Harris County jail on a $130,000 bond for murder and tampering with a human corpse.
The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, HPD said.
This isn’t Taylor’s first run-in with the law.
Court records show Taylor has a lengthy criminal history with cases ranging from theft, robbery, and assault.
Taylor is set to appear in court in February of 2026.
