HPD searching for three suspects involved in SW Houston jewelry heist totaling $1.5 million, officials say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department is looking for three male suspects who were involved in a million-dollar jewelry heist earlier this year.

According to HPD, they received a call about a delivery truck robbery in the 2800 block of Greenridge Drive on the afternoon of Sept. 11.

The delivery driver was making a stop when a blue Chrysler minivan pulled up behind the truck while the driver was away, HPD stated.

HPD said the three suspects, identified as men, exited the minivan and used a crowbar to pry open the back door of the delivery truck, stealing $1.5 million in gold and jewelry.

Anyone with information about the incident or suspects is urged to call Major Offenders at 713 308-3100.
