MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find a man accused of having up to 10 stolen vehicles, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety, carried out an operation to recover stolen vehicles on Jan. 8.
Investigators said they tracked 34-year-old Justin Bowman, who had outstanding felony warrants, to a location and saw him getting ready to leave.
When investigators tried to stop him, they said Bowman drove away in a truck that was towing a trailer with another vehicle on it.
After a chase, the sheriff’s office said Bowman left the truck behind and ran away on foot. They added that despite a thorough search, he is still missing.
The sheriff’s office said their investigation helped them recover 10 vehicles from Bowman, including those he left behind while escaping.
Investigators said they are still looking for Bowman and asked anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact law enforcement, not approach him.
