HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Houston police are investigating a homicide that possibly ended in a crash in the Alief area, off Briar Terrace Drive, on Saturday night.
Officers said they found a man shot multiple times in a vehicle, and he died at the scene.
Lt. Ali with the Houston Police Department said it happened around 9:20 Saturday night, when people in a home heard a loud boom.
Officers said they noticed someone had hit their parked vehicle, and that’s when they came out to find a man shot in his vehicle. Surveillance video provided by a homeowner shows the moment a red pickup truck crashed into a blue sedan in the driveway.
“It’s concerning because it was probably nearby, and he was trying to get away,” said Erika Rivera.
Homicide detectives said they reviewed surveillance footage, but it did not capture the shooting.
Detectives said there are no suspects in custody. The investigation is still ongoing.
