PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) — The Pasadena Police Department says they are at a dead end while searching for a man who is accused of groping a jogger at Holly Bay Park on August 14.
Police say around 7:20 pm that day, a woman was running on the park’s jogging trails when the suspect groped her. He is described as a young Hispanic man, from 20 to 25 years old, wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
The park is popular among joggers because it connects to an extensive trail on the east side of Pasadena. Police say the victim was very quick-thinking and was able to take a video of the suspect.
“After she was groped, she was able to get her phone and record as the suspect was getting away,” Assistant Police Chief Raul Granados said.
“All he did was grope her, and he did not injure her. He did not injure her, so as he started running away, she grabbed her phone and recorded, and he turned around and looked at the phone and kept on running.”

Police say they do not believe this incident is related to several other incidents in the Houston area recently.
“Our investigators were trying to get as much evidence as they could find,” said Granados when asked why Pasadena waited three weeks before releasing the video. “From surveillance to eyewitness accounts, trying to find additional information in the area.”
However, they are now seeking the public’s help.
