LEAGUE CITY, Texas (KTRK) — A rideshare driver has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting a man on Sunday, according to the League City Police Department.
The suspect was identified as Mark Gonzalez, 32, who was taken into custody at the scene without incident, according to police.
On Sunday at around 1:11 a.m., officers with League City PD responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of Attwater Way.
Upon arrival, officers found a male victim injured with gunshot wounds.
According to investigators, the incident started after an argument between the victim and his girlfriend, who had called for an Uber. Police say that a confrontation occurred that led to Gonzalez allegedly shooting the victim.
Law enforcement says the victim was taken to a hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
