LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The search for a man law enforcement said killed two people and injured four others is underway.
Deputies in Liberty County have released a photo of the man they say they’re looking for in connection with the deadly shooting in the early hours of Sunday at Alas Locas sports bar near Cleveland.
Family and friends who came by the restaurant and sports bar on Monday told ABC13 they’re devastated as they hold on to hope that the man accused of doing this will be found and held accountable.
“I’m mad because even if he gets caught, it’s not going to bring my friends back,” Yahaira Guadarrama, a friend of the victims, said.
Guadarrama says she’s been friends with the victims for a few years. She says they’re all kind and never thought this would happen to them.
She says the sports bar is a place they all frequent. The night of the shooting, she had other plans, she says; otherwise, she would’ve been at Alas with them.
Authorities on Monday say they haven’t found the man they say shot and killed a man and hurt five other people at Alas Locas near Cleveland.

Deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office say the man they’re looking for went into the bar and sat in there for about an hour and drank a beer. They say he left and went to his van and then returned and started to shoot in the patio area and then inside the bar from the front of the building.
“Hope to God that he gets caught and pays for what he did,” Guadarrama said.
In a Monday evening update, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the victim on life support has died from his injuries from the shooting.
A family member of the victim told ABC13 they want the support of the community to find the man who did this. Out of respect for the family, ABC13 is not identifying the victim at this time.
Friends of the victims say they plan to hold a fundraiser to help the families impacted, as they hold on to hope that justice will be served in this case.
“I hope he gets what he deserves,” Guadarrama said.
Anyone with information on the shooting or the man who deputies say is the shooter is asked to call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.
