Texas DPS says a small plane taking off for Dallas from West Houston Airport ended up in a field after a pilot experienced engine trouble.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Officials say a small plane went down in a field in northwest Harris County Thursday night.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the pilot took off from West Houston Airport headed to Dallas when he experienced engine trouble.
The pilot said he was forced to land in a field near the Grand Parkway and West Road area at around 11 p.m.
DPS told ABC13 no one else was on board, and the pilot was not hurt.
