HOUSTON, Texas — The Shop Club Houston is described as a country club for car enthusiasts. It’s part car storage, part social club, and part history lesson. Every car in storage has a story.
Marshall Schoen, The Shop Club General Manager, said, “Car lovers are attracted here because of the all-inclusive country club feel and environment.”
The Shop Club is unique. If you are a car or motorcycle person, it’s everything you need under one roof: indoor car-wash stations and lifts, tools for working on your vehicle, and a detailing room. Upstairs, there is a private members-only lounge with a secret cigar room with poker and pool tables.
For the public, there is a restaurant, The Derby, and guided tours every day of the week.
“We show the cars, we don’t want them hidden behind the walls. The cars here are rare collectible cars, and you’ll probably never see another one like them,” Schoen said.
Memberships start at $150 a month, and car storage is $250 a month.
Schoen said, “We would love for you to store a car here, but we don’t make it a requirement. What we care about here is the car community -the passion you have for your car. We want to be part of it.”
