HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Texans enter this week versus the Indianapolis Colts on a three-game winning streak on the season.
They’ll look to extend that to four on the road at Lucas Oil Stadium in what will mark the first meeting between the AFC South rivals this season.
So far, backup quarterback Davis Mills and a relentless Texans defense have led the team’s climb to .500 and then over it while starter C.J. Stroud has been out with a concussion.
But it looks like things are moving in the right direction for Stroud. He was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.
The Texans are coming off a major primetime 23-19 win over the Buffalo Bills.
The Colts, meanwhile, fell to the Kansas City Chiefs, 23-20.
Recent history has favored the Texans, who have won each of their last three contests against the Colts.
While at least one sportsbook has the Colts as the favorite to win, the Associated Press thinks the Texans will pull off an upset, therefore tightening the AFC South playoff race between Houston, Indianapolis, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
