PORTER, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a man and a woman were found dead with apparent gunshot wounds in Porter on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
According to authorities, the sheriff’s office received a report of an attempt to find a blue Chevrolet pickup truck in the area of FM 1314 and SH 99, where witnesses saw a man and a woman physically fighting.
Deputies later found the vehicle in the 20200 block of Deuster Lane and found the bodies of the victims, who were identified as 41-year-old Kevin Doak and 28-year-old Victoria Yates.
Preliminary information indicates that the case was a possible murder suicide. At this time, there is no threat to the public.
