Houston: Lupe Tortilla employee accused of filming customers in bathroom, records show

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 31-year-old man is accused of recording people on hidden cameras in a popular restaurant’s bathroom, according to court documents.

Court records show that on Dec. 30, two videos were discovered from a hidden camera inside the bathroom of the Lupe Tortilla near Katy Freeway and Echo Lane. The videos showed a female child and adult women undressed, the records added.

It’s alleged that the 31-year-old Lupe Tortilla employee, Bayson Elias Pu, hid those cameras in the bathroom. He was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 31, by Hedwig Village Police and is now facing a felony for invasive visual recording.

Pu was granted a $150,000 bond, which he has since posted. Pu is scheduled to be back in court on Friday.

ABC13 is working to learn how the cameras were discovered, how long they may have been in the bathroom, and why Pu is accused of the crime.
